Meet My Kansas City Mommy!

Hi!  My name is Julie McKinley and I am the blogger here at My Kansas City Mommy.  I live in KC with my hubby and our infant son, Lincoln.  I have always been a "coupon gal," but my true journey to a frugal lifestyle began over a year ago when I found out that we were expecting Lincoln.  Since then, I have been searching for ways to save money on just about everything - groceries, diapers, clothing, retail, and more.  My goal is to help you save too!

Here's a little more about me:
- I love love love being a stay-at-home mommy.
- I've been scrapbooking for over 10 years and love it.  I'm all about preserving the "everyday moments."  My favorite scrapbook product?  Project Life by Becky Higgins.
- I teach children's drama classes three semesters a year.
- I worked at a library before Lincoln was born - now I'm excited to attend storytime!
- Hubby and I regularly volunteer at Blue Springs City Theatre (which is actually where we met).
- I love to knit and I play the piano.
- Favorite places in KC - the Plaza, Crown Center, the Music Hall, Starlight Theatre, Wonderscope Children's Museum... goodness, the list goes on and on.
- Favorite food is Italian - but I'll settle just for chocolate if I have to choose.
- I've only had two pieces of chewing gum in my entire life.
- No, I didn't make up any of this, and yes, I do all of these things in addition to bringing you the best deals I can find in KC every day!
