Mmmm...Cheesecake.
I don't know about you, but I am pretty much powerless to resist when it comes to a delicious cheesecake. And the Gourmet Sampler from Cheesecake.com definitely can be described as beyond delicious.
I received my Cheesecake in a large, well-padded box and was happy to find that even though it had been shipped to my home with 2-day shipping, it was in perfect condition and still very cold! The red ribbon adorning the box made it seem like I was receiving a special gift, even before opening the box.
The Gourmet Sampler (3lb) includes four different varieties of Cheesecake:
•- 3 Slices of Mocha Chocolate
•- 3 Slices of Turtle Cheesecake
•- 3 Slices of Original
•- 3 Slices of Very Strawberry
Each flavor is made with Philadelphia® Cream Cheese and all flavors are made with a yummy Honey Graham Pecan Crust.
My hubby and I were eager to taste each variety of cheesecake. Each flavor had a definitive taste. The Original is very smooth and creamy. Very Strawberry is much like the Original, but with a yummy strawberry swirl on top - adding the perfect fruity flavor! The Mocha is rich, moist, and delightful, with just a hint of coffee flavor - excellent. The Turtle is topped with chopped pecans and has an amazing caramel swirl inside.
What I loved best about all of the cheesecake flavors is that the recipe is light enough that I was able to eat an entire piece in one sitting (after dinner) without feeling overwhelmingly full. This was a welcome relief - this cheesecake manages to give a delightful, rich flavor and still feel light on the stomach. This is not the case with many other cheesecake brands I have tasted! Cheesecake.com's cheesecake is the perfect balance of flavor and texture and definitely leaves you wanting more.
After careful consideration, we came to the conclusion that our favorites were the Original (hubby's choice) and Mocha (my choice). I would be perfectly content to eat a slice of this delightful cheesecake every day - but my waistline probably wouldn't appreciate that quite so much as my tastebuds. :)
