This Saturday, March 19th, the American Red Cross is hosting the Gabrielle Giffords Honorary Save-a-Life Saturday. The Red Cross will be offering free (and easy) classes on the basics of hands-only CPR, treatment of shock, and treating wounds. Normally these courses would cost you $25, but this Saturday, they will be FREE because of the generosity of the Red Cross sponsors, Safeway and Walgreens. The courses will be approximately 45 minutes long and will be offered throughout the day. This event is going on nationwide, and the local chapter is the Wyandotte County Chapter.
