Dapple Baby: Natural and Organic Baby Products

Dapple baby products are specially designed to keep baby's things clean without harsh chemicals and are safe for the environment. Dapple created their line of natural baby products in consultation with pediatrions and chemists specially trained in green cleaning technology.

Dapple® Toy Cleaner Travel Wipes are a wonderful idea. Little babies love to touch anything and everything that they can get their little hands on. With the Dapple wipes, you can follow along behind them wiping clean everything they touch (and before they touch it). They are great for toys, swings, high chairs and the list just keeps on going. They are also very convenient for parents. They easily fit in diaper bags or purses. They are biodegradable and are a great option if you are looking for natural cleaners. Just wipe and play!

I love keeping a pack of the Travel Wipes in my diaper bag.  L is at a stage right now where literally everything goes into his mouth.  Having the Dapple wipes nearby gives me peace of mind and I find myself turning to them frequently!

Make sure you visit Dapple Baby's site for their complete line of natural and organic baby products.

Thanks to Dapple Baby for providing my review sample.  I received no other compensation and all views expressed are my own.

Children's Book Review: Made by God: Animal Series

If you are familiar with the popular I Can Read! book collection and if you have a child who is learning to read and loves animals - here is something you don't want to miss.  The new releases in the series Made by God is part of the I Can Read! collecton - which is specially designed for early readers. They are Level Two, which is described as "High-interest stories for developing readers." There are quite a few books in the Made by God series and I had the chance to review several - including Curious Creatures Down Under, Forest Friends, Jungle Beasts, Barnyard Critters, and Polar Pals.

The text and pictures in this Level Two series are great for those kids who already have a good base in reading skills.  I believe in encouraging young readers (what do you expect from a librarian?), and this series gets my stamp of approval.

I am honestly torn in which book was my favorite. On one hand, I love all things from Australia including the Koala, Kangaroo and Platypus (who doesn't love all those animals!). However I am also a big fan of Emperor Penguins, Polar Bears and Arctic Foxes. Whichever your kids choose as their favorite, these simple books are very easy to read and are sure to help your up-and-coming readers to build confidence in their reading skills.

You can find each of these titles on Amazon!
Made by God: Polar Pals
Made by God: Curious Creatures Down Under
Made by God: Forest Friends

Made by God: Jungle Beasts
Made by God: Barnyard Critters

Thanks to Zondervan Publishing for my review samples!  I received no other compensation and all views expressed are my own.

Hurray!  I love it when there are deals for places I already visit regularly!  If you haven't tasted the frozen custard at Custard's Last Stand, you are missing out.  Buy this Dealbug and get yourself there to try it soon!  Custard's Last Stand is featuring great new menu items like burgers and hot dogs now, as well.  The restaurant is set up like a 1950's soda fountain - super cute and retro.

Okay enough about how much I love it - here's the deal: pay $5 and get a $10 voucher to spend at Custard's Last Stand (Lees Summit location only).  This yummy offer is through Dealbug, a local daily deal site.  Dealbug will donate $.50 of your purchase to a school or charity of your choice, so this is a great way to pay it forward!

Limit 4 vouchers per person and unlimited number may be purchased as gifts.  Must use by November 30, 2011.

What's your favorite custard concrete combination?  I usually look at the menu for 12 minutes trying to decide, and almost always end up going with M&Ms.  :)

LeapFrog: Learn & Sing With Us DVD Review + Giveaway (2 Winners)

Are your kids back in school yet?  If so, you may have younger siblings that are feeling left out of all the back-to-school excitement.  If you want to get them pumped up about learning, I have a suggestion for you - check out this new DVD release: LeapFrog: Sing and Learn With Us!

Lionsgate Home Entertainment and LeapFrog Enterprises have joined forces to release this new DVD that features the popular "Sing-along Read-along" Early Reading Set.  The DVD features a cast of fun characters (Al, Og, Meg, Izzy, and Gus) who take your kids along on a whimsical adventure to learn about vowel sounds with 12 Sing-Along Storybooks.

This DVD is just a world of fun!  I will definitely be using LeapFrog products when L is learning how to read.  Kids will enjoy hearing the upbeat music and watching the colorful characters so much, they may not even realize that they are also building reading skills and word comprehension.  I was quite entertained by this collection of Storybooks - definitely not one of those shows that makes you crazy to hear it for even a few seconds.  :)

As an added bonus, the DVD also features all 12 Storybooks in a printable form - so that your kids can take their favorite characters and stories with them wherever they go!  There are even printable color sheets, as well.

LeapFrog: Sing and Learn With Us! retails for $14.99, but is currently priced at $8.99 on Amazon!
